Do you love the Ocean? Then stop using plastic…

CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh travels to Midway Atoll in the Pacific Ocean to investigate how the plastic we throw away everyday enters the food chain and possibly, our bodies.

Since 1999, NOAA has removed 125 metric tons of debris from Midway atoll…
Most of the plastic in the Pacific Ocean originates from Asia…
The great Pacific garbage patch spins endlessly.
The alarming forecast is that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish!
Wild animals cannot make a difference between floating plastic and edible food. Often, they think it is octopus, or squid or some other species. The problem is not only for them, but for us, as plastic ends up in the food chain and contaminates what we eat.

So act and do something while you can.
1. Stop using plastic.
2. Educate people around you about the danger of plastic in the ocean.
3. Share this article and the CNN movie.

Save the planet,
